The CGAJ announced the first athletes who will form part of the Acorn Jersey Commonwealth Games Team 2018 this morning. Paul du Feu made the announcement at the Hotel de France in the presence of athletes, team managers and CGAJ Management who have been part of the pathway to the Gold Coast for the last 2 years.
Team Jersey will include a mix of familiar faces from previous games and new team members for who this will be their first time representing Jersey at Commonwealth level. 29 athletes have been confirmed while a further 4 places will be filled by the end of the year with contenders from swimming, table tennis and shooting. The validation subcommittee will meet again in late December once all competitions have been completed, after this the final team will be announced.
