Jersey first competed in the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in 1958, when the event was staged in Cardiff. The island sent 17 competitors on that trip to Wales, and since then hundreds more have proudly pulled on the kit to represent Jersey on the international stage. Each has their own story to tell.
For some, their achievements at the Games will have been amongst the greatest moments of their lives.
The Commonwealth Games Federation has compiled a searchable database of Jersey’s results, dating all the way back to that debut appearance in 1958. You can search by year and view the individual results of the island’s competitors, as well as viewing where and how the one gold and three bronze medals were won.
