The process by which CGAJ identifies and selects eligible Pathway Athletes to compete for the Jersey Teams at each Commonwealth Games and Commonwealth Youth Games is constantly evolving. At the end of every Games cycle the Team Development Process paper is reviewed with input from all sports and upgraded in the light of experience and changing circumstances. The paper documents the end-to-end process dealing with various aspects, including eligibility, selection criteria, athlete registration, team selection, appeals and timetable. Ultimately the paper is approved by all member sports and reissued for the next games cycle, establishing a revised end-to-end process that is robust, objective, transparent and fair to all sports and their athletes.
